Researchers at York University are seeking participants for a study investigating BINGE EATING and RELATIONSHIPS.
The purpose of this study is to better understand binge eating, relationships, and wellbeing. This study will include women who binge eatand their romantic partners.
Who is eligible to participate?
Women who:
- Binge eat at least twice per month (eat more in one sitting than people typically eat AND feel a loss of control),
- Have a romantic partner,
- Are age 18+,
- Own a smartphone, and
- Read and write in English.
What does the study involve?
- Completing a brief screening phone call to determine eligibility.
- Attending a 90-minute meeting with the researcher in-person at York University to complete an interview and questionnaires.
- Completing 5 brief surveys per day on your phone for 14 days.
- Attending an optional 5-10-minute debriefing session.
- You will also be given a flyer to give to your romantic partner so they can also participate in the study if they choose.
Compensation will be provided.
